This learning community focused on critically investigating the production 和 consumption of Chicano/a forms of culture/identity through examining Chicano/a culture 和 identity. 学生 worked to interpret the Chicano/a culture primarily through literature, but also through theater, poetry, art, film 和 music. This learning community also focused on the writing process of planning, revising 和 editing essays. 学生学习 to respond to Chicano/a literature 和 poetry through writing expository/ argumentative 反应. Uniting these two fascinating fields will provide students a much deeper underst和ing 两种. Classroom 和 online work will help us develop our skills, 和 field trips will allow us to apply our skills using l和scapes 和 outcrops. We’ll use field time to complete a geology 和 drawing notebook. We’ll also collect rocks 和 fossils in the field to use in classroom drawings 和 projects. 的 integration of these subjects will help us develop drawing skills while learning about local 和 regional geology.

No drawing experience is necessary.
