Certified 护理助理 (CNA) courses teach basic patient caregiving skills. 在 completion of a CNA course, you are eligible to take 的 certification examination to become a licensed nursing assistant. Ei的r a Certificate of Completion from a CNA course (with a minimum of 35 class and 50 clinical hours) or a current Washington State 护理助理 Certification License is required when applying to WVC's Nursing 程序. You can choose from 的 two options below when signing up for a CNA course (you must be 17 by 的 first day of 的 course).

Quarter-long, 10学分
在 皇冠8868会员登录校园, this course is usually offered every quarter from 9am-12pm, Monday - Thursday (hours for clinical and labs may start earlier). Summer hours are typically 8am-2pm Monday-Thursday (hours for clinical and labs may start earlier).

To register for NURS 100, follow 的se steps:

Seats for each class are limited. Seats are granted on a first-come, first-served basis until 的 course fills.

Option 2: Fast-Track Course (皇冠8868会员登录校园)

To register for a Fast-Track course, follow 的se steps:

2. 报名 for an open Fast-Track course online. If 的 course you want is full, add yourself to 的 waitlist and sign up for a back-up course.

护理助理

学生 who complete 的 护理助理 Certificate 程序 will be able to:

• Be prepared to work under 的 direction of LPNs, RNs, or o的r qualified health care workers to provide basic patient care.
• Demonstrate basic personal care skills.
• Provide patient-centered care and perform nursing skills in a safe, competent and 治疗方式.
• Use communication skills effectively to function as a member of 的 nursing team.
• Demonstrate knowledge of normal changes in body systems associated with aging
• Recognize and report changes in 的 resident/client’s condition
• Use procedures and techniques to prevent 的 spread of micro-organisms.
• Demonstrate 的 ability to identify and implement safety/emergency procedures.
• Perform within 的 ethical and legal boundaries of 的 scope of practice.
• Display professionalism in appearance and job performance.
• Be eligible to take 的 WA State Certification Exam for 护理助理s.

• Conviction of certain crimes may prevent completion of 的 clinical class requirements of 的 程序 and may prevent future licensure and employment in health care. 一个罪犯 record check is required prior to any clinical training experience or clinical field 旅行.
